I took the advice of someone who suggested I had a look at any recently installed programs and I found 'malwareprotectionlive'. I used Control Panel to remove it, then I deleted its folder and finally I deleted everything in the registry that referred to it. That seems to have worked. -
This doesn't work. I have AdBlock and Google Chrome and AdBlock is allowing AdChoice ads in Google Chrome. Latest version for Mac.

This doesn't work. In fact AdChoices appeared in the middle of these instructions. Total waste of time.

Also had severe performance issues with Firefox on a macbook. Installed Adblock Plus (different but similar product) and performance much improved as well. thanks so much again
