There was a story at the now defunct Magic Landings amusement park in El Paso Texas that happened in 1984 about a roller coaster worker who was summoned by a park visitor to receive and return a lost baseball cap that he lost on the roller coaster. Unfortunately the cap was on a active line and as the worker reached down to retrieve the cap he was struck by a incoming roller coaster car severing his arm. He died of his injuries a few days later.

accidents happen, roller coasters will still be a big part of my life. also, it seems like the pictures do not correspond with the rides mentioned in the entries?

I'm pretty sure that a guy who lost both legs shouldn't be on any rides at all. They do have safety guidelines for that at a lot of fun parks. As for what happened in England, if both the mother and little girl didn't speak english, there should have been an interpreter to speak to them. In accidents that happen on any ride in a theme park. It seems that negligence outshines common sense. Some park workers don't bother checking the rides and follow safety guidelines. All rides should be checked before the parks even open for business. Then there's people who just want to be completely ignorant of the rules like standing up or retrieving personal items rather then asking for help in getting them. It makes me wonder who has the lesser brain. The employees for not enforcing the rules and safety guidelines or the customers for not using common sense when at a theme park.
