When you are viewing a webpage full of text, it is difficult to search a specific word or phrase by your eyes. However, the browser actually provides a function for searching for some content in the webpage. All your need to know is to remember the shortcut and it works well in all computers. If you don't want to use keyboard for some reason, you can also find the function via mouse clicking. Here I'll show you how to search for a word on a web page.

Windows

1

If you are using Windows, remember the shortcut: Ctrl + F. This works in all browsers in all versions in Windows, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.

2

You can also find the function from the menu. The picture below shows the example in Google Chrome.

Mac

If you are using Mac, remember the shortcut "command + F". This works in Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

2

You can also find it in the "Edit" menu and move your mouse on "Find" and select "Find…" or "Find Next" or "Find Previous" in the following menu according to your request.
