Here's another idea that can be really appreciable ...depending upon your husband's age you can jot down that many special moments spent with him in small handmade cards along with small goodies n when its that many days left for his birthday you can actually start gifting him...

Hi! Last year I was searching the similar thing on my hubby bday so thought to share with everyone! May b useful for some. I tried the sticker one! My husband went to gym morning 6 A.M so I prepared something special for him! I knew exactly d places he would go after coming so I left sticky notes at those places. Also I got some small cards! Every card I wrote d reason why I love him so much! And I hide some gifts for him and wrote on the sticky notes some hints to search it! By the time he was back from gym, I had left for office! He texted me after reading and finding all d gifts and cards! :) he was happy!
